The plaque Officer Brown is holding reads: "National Association of School Resource Officers, Model SRO Agency Award is presented to the Huber Heights Police Division, Ohio, for your continued support of the School Resource Officer Program and in recognition of being recognized as a Model SRO Program throughout the United State of America. Presented this 11th day of July, 2005 in Dallas, Texas." This award is for the exceptional work of the Huber Heights SROs and the students of the Warriors Crime Watch program. We must also give thanks to the Huber Heights Police Division and the Huber Heights City Schools for their partnership to keep kids safe at school. The award was presented at the National Association of School Resource Officers Conference in Dallas, Texas. NASRO has over 13,000 members from across the nation. All of them will now look to Huber Heights as a model to follow. |
